Portland, Ore. . . .
KIW has a soft spot for the gentle, rainy, city of Portland, Ore.
Just last week our entire staff attended a heartwarming Todd Snider birthday concert at the Aladdin Theatre on Portland’s eclectic east side.
And now, finally, we've realized why we're so comfortable down there . . .
“Portland is a town entrenched in juvenelia,” a place where you can have an “extended adolescence.”
Carrie Brownstein, 29-year-old guitarist for the Portland-based band Sleater-Kinney.

I saw Todd Snider in St. Albert last Friday. I am totally a fan of his. Thanks KIW for introducing me to great music. I had the honour of meeting Todd Snider (and getting my picture taken with him), he is down to earth and very interesting. I hope to catch another Todd Snider show sometime soon (with my favourite guy). Thanks again KIW.
