Johnny & June

If you've seen the film Walk the Line, you probably walked out of the theatre awed, and in love with, the legends of Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter-Cash. Cash.gif

The entire staff of KIW had that experience recently.

On the way home from the flick, we remembered this wonderful bit of performance art by the real Johnny and June. So we dug through our old VHS tape collection to take a look.

Johnny and June sang this song in 1993 as part of a tribute to Bob Dylan that was filmed in Madison Square Garden. PBS broadcast the show.

The couple were in their 60's at the time. And they look like they are lovin' life.

They may be the coolest couple ever.

(The video should work in i-tunes, quicktime, real player, and on a video iPod - or you can watch it here if you have a quick time plug-in.)
